Avoiding fines

Items not returned by the due date will incur a Bill for Replacement (BFR) and a non-refundable Lost Item Process Fees.

Avoiding library fees

  1. Keep track of your due dates
  2. Renew your loans before they are overdue by accessing your library record in Primo Search
  3. Pay attention to courtesy, overdue and recall notices

Recall notices

Recall notices will be issued if any items you have on loan have been requested by another user.

Regardless of the original due date, recalled items must be returned by the new due date.

Recalled items that are not returned by the due date will:

  • incur a BFR and non-refundable lost item processing fee.
  • prevent you from borrowing or renewing other items.
  • incur a $5 per day fine if not returned promptly.
Check your library record in Primo Search regularly for changes to due dates.

Making payments

Library Fees and Charges will appear on your CSU Financial Statement. There are a number of payment methods available to you.

If you do not pay any outstanding charges, CSU will be unable to release the results of any subjects you are studying. See financial information for students at CSU for more information.
