Avoiding Library charges

Overdue items

Items not returned by the due date will:

  • incur a Bill for Replacement (BFR) charge.
  • prevent you from borrowing, renewing or requesting more items.

See the Items charges table below for further details.

Avoiding library charges

  1. Keep track of your due dates.
  2. Renew your loans before they are overdue by accessing your library record in Primo Search.
  3. Pay attention to courtesy, overdue and recall email notices.

Recall notices

Recall notices will be issued if any items you have on loan have been requested by another user.

Regardless of the original due date, recalled items must be returned by the new due date.

Recalled items that are not returned by the due date will:

  • incur a Bill For Replacement charge.
  • prevent you from borrowing or renewing other items.
Check your library record in Primo Search regularly for changes to due dates.

Making payments

Library Charges will appear on your Charles Sturt Financial Statement. There are a number of payment methods available to you.

If you do not pay any outstanding charges, Charles Sturt will be unable to release the results of any subjects you are studying. See financial information for students at Charles Sturt for more information.
