Library services for the community and other educational institutions


In line with the university’s staged return to campus, access to Library and Learning Commons spaces is only available to Charles Sturt students and staff via swipe card access until further notice.

CSU provides a number of services for members of the community and other universities, colleges and schools.

CSU library does not provide

  • Restricted/reserve/special collections/Surface Pros
  • Database/internet (excluding Primo Search and Walk-In Access databases)
  • eBooks
  • Intercampus loans
  • Interlibrary loans
  • Home delivery (postal) services

Community members

CSU supports regional engagement and welcomes adult members of the local community to join and use the Library, free of charge.

Registration is encouraged for:

  • Members of the CSU University Council
  • Members of the Regional Consultative Committee
  • CSU Alumni
  • Honorary Doctors
  • Companions of the University
  • Emeritus Professors
  • National Council on Intellectual Disability (NCID) members
  • Workplace Learning Supervisors, for six months while supervising CSU students

Other universities

Students and staff from the following universities may also join CSU library, free of charge as per the following agreement.

CSU provides eduroam access for students, researchers, faculty and staff from participating institutions.
