Take the opportunity to connect with culture by exploring the artefacts and information in the centre. It’s a chance to learn, reflect and be inspired by the strength and stories of Country and Community.
The David Mitchell Wetlands were constructed in 1989 for treating greywater from campus buildings.
Grey water is captured from a variety of on-site sources such as showers and sinks and is fed through a series of wetlands and retention basins before being pumped by solar and wind energy to water storage for re-use onsite.
The wetlands provide aquatic bird diversity and a healthy aquatic vegetation community.
