The Bathurst Eco Walk project is a 3km gravel path which highlights various ecological, historic and cultural areas within the campus.
The eco walk runs along Hawthornden Creek, through areas of biodiversity rejuvenation. This part of the Bathurst campus sits at the base of Wahluu (Mount Panorama), which is a sacred place to the Wiradjuri people. The Hawthornden Creek provides an important wildlife corridor on the Bathurst campus, and eventually meets the Wambuul (Macquarie River). The eco walk meanders past the Diggings Oval before joining back to the existing pathways at Building 1220.
The Eco Walk is relaxing and enjoyable, providing benefits to students, residents and community members.

Come visit Wammarra to meet the friendly staff who are always ready for a yarn and a warm welcome. Wammarra is a Wiradjuri word meaning 'to build one's education'.
Take the opportunity to connect with culture by catching up on the latest copy of the Koori Mail and exploring the significant First Nations artefacts housed in the centre, including the Message stick that's used in Charles Sturt University graduation ceremonies. It’s a chance to learn, reflect and be inspired by the strength and stories of Country and Community.
