Create a link to a ScienceDirect article

  1. Conduct a search in ScienceDirect.
  2. Click on the title of the article.

  3. From the next screen, highlight and copy the DOI URL (see image below)

  4. Paste this URL into the URL box below.
  5. Click "Create Link".
  6. Your complete link will appear in the "Complete Link" box. If you want to test the complete link to make sure it works, click "Test Link", otherwise, copy the link and paste it into your document or webpage.

Create a link to a ScienceDirect journal

  1. Search or browse for a Journal by clicking on Journal at the top of the page in the Science Direct database (see image below)

  2. You can now limit your journals by subject area or browse by title (see image below)

  3. When you have found the journal you wish to link to, click on the title
  4. On the Journal page, highlight and copy the URL in the address bar at the top of the page (see image below)

  5. Paste this link into your document or webpage.
