Hi, I'm Alex.  I work as a Client Services Librarian at CSU Orange, on Wiradjuri Country.

I grew up in Sydney and in 2008 my partner and I moved to Orange, as it is such a great place to raise a family.  I love the pace of life in a regional town and feel so lucky to be able to enjoy everything that the Central West has to offer.  It's a great part of the world.

While my kids were young I studied for my library qualification online with Charles Sturt University.  It was a busy time, but it was made possible by how easy it is to study from home when you're at CSU. I loved being able to access everything I needed for my degree from my computer at home, all while my kids played in the room with me!  In fact, I loved it so much, it was a big part of how I knew I eventually wanted to work at CSU Library.

For years I worked at a local school library and then spent a number of years at the Orange City Library. Every day is different when you work in libraries, because you are responding to the needs of your community.

I'm full-time at CSU Library now and I love the work we do here. I know what it is like to balance work, study, family and whatever else life throws at you. I really enjoy doing everything I can to help students find the information they need for their studies.
